Yeah, so I’m a sucker for cool looking model kits. I don’t know when I’ll actually get this built.

I was pretty stoked to find a decent used hardback copy of this one! Dunno when I’ll get to it though.

I have always baked cupcakes for my kids to take to school for their bday. These aren’t the prettiest but I hope they’re good.

Photo of 23 cupcakes, chocolate cherry with vanilla cream cheese frosting. Sprinkles have been liberally applied. They aren't pretty.

Someone had made some sidewalk chalk artwork at the park. I’d call it fleeting art.

✅ Dune Part 2 4K UHD Steelbook preorder done! (Even though I haven’t seen it yet. Don’t care, gonna get it either way 😃)

Took the youngest to one of the many parks in the area yesterday and thought this playhouse was very “Wonderland” and kinda cool.

Photo of a children's playhouse at a park. The walls of the home are all at interesting angles. There is a small slide exiting the near wall.

It’s been a day. Certainly a long, drawn out one. Almost a whole week, it seems. Ha. Let’s do this again tomorrow!

The kiddos didn’t have school today, so I thought I’d take them out for a meal..after a dental appointment, of course. 🤣

Another photo from a local walking trail.

A photo of an information placard/marker placed along a local walking trail. The marker is titled "A Track To The Past". Along the left side is a map that indicates the location.

Continuing the journey through my boxes of youth, this box is a prize! Some of these I still have original receipts for as well.

Photo of old video games I loved and will never part with: Dreamcast Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater. Sega Genesis Mortal Kombat (blood code FTW), Sega 32X NBA Jam. Sega Game Gear Ninja Gaiden and Sonic.

A view of a pair of trails. One of which gets more use than the other.

Photo of a set of old, unused and discarded rail tracks running parallel to a cement pathway. To the right is a small, scraggly treeline.

About the only way it could be more Kansas tomorrow, would be for thunder (snow) storms and the like. Yippee.

Screenshot of the weekly weather forecast of Lawrence, Kansas. Of note is that it's currently newly 80 degrees fahrenheit, however, tomorrow evening the bottom falls out of the temperature and it goes from 80 down to 18 degrees. It might even sleet, freeze, snow. Not that it will last.

Taken during my noon time walk, just entering the trail. It would be insulting all the good graphitti to refer to this as such.

Photo of a Yield sign that has been spray painted over with more red. Beneath that is another unknown sign that is also spray painted over.

While out looking for a possible place to have a day party for a to be 6yo, I got a kick out of the painted doors.

Photo of a restroom door. The door is orange in color, a stark contrast to the paler white color of the wall. Featured on the door is a figure that indicates what could be referred to as a youngster doing the "gotta potty" dance.

Decided recently that I need to get back into physical media. Now it’s time to prefer 4K if possible. Eventually I’ll rip them to digital storage.

Photo of a small collection of Bluray and 4K Ultra movies and series.

I had seen this kit while I was out and about the other day and decided that it was high time to pick up something cool for myself!

From the “stuff I’d completely forgotten about buying” department. Back when Transformers were coming back into being cool and not junk.

Going through some old boxes and stuff, it’s hard to believe that games used to actually come with manuals! Miss those times.

Photo of Final Fantasy 12 PlayStation 2 game. With, Gasp, a manual!

Growing up I got to purchase and play a lot of amazing JRPG games for all the consoles. Some of my favorites were the Working Designs SegaCD ports. When this particular title was rereleased back in the day, I ALMOST didn’t get it (already had it on SegaCD) but went ahead anyhow. Glad I did, now. I’ve misplaced the box it came in, but I’ve got everything else. 😀

Photo of the PlayStation game Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete. The box is currently missing.

I’ve got a couple of kiddos who have been into programming and wanting to learn more and I’ve heard good things about this book. I think this is a great place for them to continue on. They’ve done Scratch and I’ve introduced them to Godot as well. 😎
